Our training pathway

Who should use the platform?

The JETS administration and clerical programme is designed to be used by all current and new endoscopy administrative and clerical staff members.

Pathway overview

The programme is comprised of one level including 6 core competencies and not all roles will need to complete all three levels. This will vary depending on their role.

Within each competency there are four stages to follow in the training pathway:

Self assessment

The JETS administration and clerical competency framework contains a list competencies and sub competencies, related to endoscopy administration and clerical work in which you will complete a self assessment for each one.

Training via e-Learning and workshops

To help you to complete the framework, a range of e-learning courses and modules are available on the e-learning for healthcare hub along with interactive workshops.

Please note completion of these modules is to be assessed via your service as this will not be managed by the JETS administration and clerical team.

Evidence collection

Each competency can be supported by one of the following forms of evidence that combine to create a platform for the endoscopy administrative and clerical staff to record and evidence their skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • direct observation of process/skill (DOPS)

  • witness statements (WS)

  • reflective accounts (RA)

  • training (TR), eg elfh modules and workshops

1:1 meetings with supervisor/mentor to review PDP

A PDP is an individual plan that supports educational and professional growth – a tool that can identify areas for further development and encourage lifelong learning. It is used to identify goals and methods for achieving these goals.

You should revisit and review your goals regularly with your supervisor/mentor during 1:1 meetings.
